En el marco de la Feria Internacional del Libro, se organiza un pabellón de Informática y la primera actividad, el día 28 de Marzo, se celebra el Día Mundial del Documento Libre (DFD), en la que se imparten conferencias, talleres, charlas relacionadas con los estándares abiertos y se habla del formato ofimática ODF, enfatizando en el uso del Software Libre y de LibreOffice en particular, como muestra de respeto y apoyo a los formatos abiertos ODF. En la actividad se obsequian materiales promocionales, entre ellos Calendarios del año, DVD con materiales didácticos con temas afines, marca libros y libros en formatos ePub, entre otros. Además, se comparte con los asistentes kake y refresco para celebrar tan importante fecha que propicia las libertades digitales y el acceso al conocimiento de manera comunitaria.

Cartagena de Indias o Cartagena es una ciudad colombiana, capital del departamento de Bolívar. Fue fundada en el año 1533 por Pedro de Heredia. Es la quinta ciudad del país en población después de Bogotá, Medellín, Cali y Barranquilla. Desde 1991 Cartagena es un Distrito Turístico y Cultural. La ciudad está localizada a orillas del mar Caribe y es el segundo centro urbano en importancia de la Región Caribe colombiana, después de Barranquilla.

Cartagena de Indias or Cartagena is a city in Colombia, capital of the department of Bolivar. It was founded in 1533 by Pedro de Heredia. It is the fifth largest city in population after Bogota, Medellin, Cali and Barranquilla. Since 1991, Cartagena is a Tourist and Cultural District. The city is located along the Caribbean Sea and is the second largest urban center of the Colombian Caribbean region, after Barranquilla.
Its historic center, the 'Walled City', was declared National Patrimony of Colombia in 1959 and the Unesco World Heritage Site in 1984. In 2007 the military architecture was named the fourth wonder of Colombia.
